Lost In A Desert World
Category: EventsLost In A Desert World
Based on the autobiography of Roland Johnson, Lost In A Desert World focusses on an extraordinary man who not only survived incarceration at the Pennhurst State School for the Mentally Retarded, but would go on to become a major force in the self-advocacy movement. Karl Williams (the playwright) assisted Mr. Johnson and by use of audio recordings allowed his biography (and eventually dramatization) be told in his own words. Intense and incredible, Rolands life was one of extreme persecution and hardship. Through perseverance and inner strength Roland’s story has become an inspiration to countless individuals.
